Breaking News - Renelique's License RevokedFlorida Health Department vs. Abortionist Sued for Infant's Death
Abortionist Pierre Jean-Jacques Renelique's medical license is revoked by the Florida Board of Medicine, Friday, February 6, 2009.
Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacques Renelique, the Florida abortionist scheduled to appear today as The Thomas More Society brings suit hoping for permanent revocation of his medical license by the Florida Health Dept. had his license revoked this morning. Seeking justice for newborn Shanice Denise Osbourne, The Thomas More Society has retained prominent Miami personal injury attorney Tom Pennekamp to prosecute the case and represent "Baby Shanice" both in court and before the Board of Medicine. Thirteen defendants, including abortion clinic owner Belkis Gonzalez, abortionist Jean-Jacque Renelique and their conglomerate of four South Florida abortion clinics have been sued for unlicensed and unauthorized medical practice, botched abortions, evasive tactics, false medical records and the killing, hiding and disposing of baby Shanice Osbourne. Abortion Becomes BirthThe Miami Herald reported that Sycloria Williams, eighteen, struggled with her decision, saying that she didn't think she had the resources or maturity to raise a child. At the Miramar Women's Center, sonograms indicated that Williams was 23 weeks pregnant, according to the Department of Health. Williams paid $1,200 for an abortion at the Hialeah clinic. Renelique did not arrive in time and Williams gave birth to a live baby girl, Shanice Denise Osbourne. "She came face to face with a human being," said Williams’ attorney, Tom Pennekamp, “and that changed everything," reported The Miami Herald. Williams said that Gonzalez then came into the room, killed Shanice and threw her away. Shanice was later hidden from police. Staff QualificationsClinic owner Gonzalez is unlicensed and said to own another abortion center which has a history of violating state regulations and was closed last year when after it was discovered that employees were also unlicensed. The Miami Herald reported that state records showed that Renelique’s medical training took place in Haiti. In 1991, he completed a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Interfaith Medical Center in New York. New York state records indicate at least five medical malpractice payments, details of which were unavailable. Attempts to reach Renelique by phone were unsuccessful and messages left with his attorney went unanswered. ReactionsHialeah police Deputy Chief Mark Overton told the Miami Herald "This has to be a homicide, an unlawful killing. It could be manslaughter, but we believe it falls in that realm.” "The baby was just treated as a piece of garbage," said Tom Brejcha, president of The Thomas More Society law firm, also representing Williams. "People all over the country are just aghast." Update: RevokedJill Stanek just reported on her blog, PRO-LIFE pulse, that she's spoken with Atty. Tom Peneekamp. She writes: "I've never seen or heard of board of medicine hearing that went like this one," said Pennekamp. "The board excoriated Renelique. "One of the doctors on the board literally held up antique medical equipment, one that looked like an egg beater, to test whether Renelique knew what they were," said Pennekamp. "He responded, 'Yes, I use that, and that, and that.' She then blasted him for his ignorance." Stanek said Pennekamp also reported that all the major news networks were at the hearing: ABC, NBC, Fox, and the Associated Press, and that this will be a 6PM news story. Jill Stanek is the nurse who testified before U.S. House committee for Born Alive Infants Protection Act after she discovered fetuses being aborted alive and shelved to die in a soiled utility room.
